Hoppumm

Hoppumm. A cross between the Sri Lankan hopplers and the Indian appum, is what we call hoppumm. Hoppumm is a cheeky play on a drink Lankan Hopper and a south Indian appam which essentially looks and taste the same. I remember trying the food from this brand at few pop ups that they use to do and they were pretty famous in the pop up circuit. Due to the immense popularity and demand they have opened their own store in the bylanes of Pali hill ( Bandra West ) The space is tiny with around 5 tables and few high chairs. They have divided the store into two sections, The indoor section which has one table and few high Chairs has an air conditioning and have four tables outside. The interiors are basic but super neat. The food is casual and comforting and you have visited Sri Lanka then it would remind you of the street food you get in for example Colombo. Sancho's

Sancho's. I was not lucky enough to experience the bandra Sancho's , which meant I walked into the newly launched restaurant with no expectations or bias. Helmed by LA's taco king chef Esdras Ochoa who met the queen of slow cooking at "The Final Table " a show which they participated together. She invited the chef to check out our beautiful country. That's where everything started from. Together they brought the flavours of northern Mexico with a LA flair to Bombay.
